The city wascreated in the valley of an ancient river Peltew, and owes its name to the Halicki Prince - Lviv Daniłowicz. Lviv can be enjoyed at any time of year, but it is most beautiful in here between May and September. One thing is certain: when you taste the atmosphere of this place even once, you will surely want to come back.
City Walls- In medieval times, Lviv had impressive fortifications. To this day, fragments of the walls are preserved. The so-called Low Castle was also included in the city walls (it posedone corner of the fortifications). In the eighteenth century the building was eventually demolished and the material from its walls was used as building blocks of the surrounding tenements.
The Lviv High Castle- this interesting place consists of about 400 m high hill with the ruins of the castle located throughout. In XIV century Polish king Casimir the Great initiated building here a castle, whose plan consists of: two courtyards, residential building, two gates and three towers and a prison.
The Old Town- while visiting Lviv there is no way to bypass the local Old Town, the medieval town's main square. This four-sided square is 142 m long and 129 m wide. On all sides it is surrounded by picturesque houses, on the facades of which you can see architectural elements characteristic of different periods and styles. In the center of the Old Town there is traditionally the City Hall, which was built at the turn of the fifteenth and sixteenth century
The Archcathedral Basilica of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary- the building was erected in the Gothic style. Inside the cathedral one can distinguish: the sanctuary, eight chapels, two altars in the aisles. It is one of the oldest churches in Lviv and has the length of 67 meters and the width of 23 meters.

Odessa is a picturesque town in the Black Sea coast, which will enchant you with its unique atmosphere, beautiful buildings, interesting range of resorts and spas and the wealth of well-managed beaches. The name of the city derives from the ancient Greek colony - Odessos. It is said that Odessa is the most beautiful by the seaside and that it is more suitable for long walks, than sightseeing. The city is relatively young (counts only 200 years) and can not boast a wealth of impressive sights, but there are places that simply can not be omitted.
Potemkin Stairs- The most famous object of Odessa is an impressive 192-step staircase, which connects a seaside boulevard with the harbor. The stairs were built in 1837-1832, in 1905, the steps witnessed bloody battle between Tsarist troops and Russian battleship crew. This episode was immortalized in the film "The Battleship Potemkin".
The Odessa National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet- The impressive building was built between 1884-1887 by architects from Vienna, and represents the neo-renaissance and neo-baroque style. Its facade is decorated with pilasters and Ionic columns and two-storey portal. In the side niches there are busts of the great playwrights: Pushkin, Gogol, Gribojedow and Glinka. The richly decorated interior in the Rococo style consists of five storeys.
The Vorontsov's Palace- a beautiful building built in the years 1826-1834. To the interior of the building leads a columnar portico, and its facade is decorated with architectural details such as cornices, friezes and bas-reliefs. The impressive palace interiors are richly decorated with paintings, stucco and crystal mirrors.
